Just an ordinary girl born in the wrong era. You have reached my personal interest blog, where anything is fair game. I am a woman of many inspirations. They include, in no particular order: Carol Burnett, Julie Andrews, Barbara Stanwyck, Martha Long, Lucille Ball, Phyllis Logan, Arlene Francis, Florence Nightingale, Clara Barton, Carole Lombard, Joan Crawford, Rosalind Russell, and Maureen O'Hara. An inordinate amount of my posts will involve these incredible women.
I'm in love with the men of Old Hollywood. I like to imagine I was the wife of Henry Fonda in another life. I also love Gary Cooper, Joel McCrea, Tyrone Power, John Wayne, Robert Taylor, and Clark Gable.
A Little about me: I'm a registered nurse born and raised in Arkansas. I am of Irish and English descent and embrace my family's heritage. I love my home state of Arkansas as well as the South in general. I will post a lot about the South, about Ireland, mountains, and the beach, my favorite places on earth.

My last trip to Hot Springs National Park.  Hot Springs is one of the magical places of my childhood.  My parents are friends with the owner of the Arlington Hotel in downtown Hot Springs, so we stayed in amazing suites in the hotel all the time.  Including once in the presidential suite—which was so fabulous. One of the best places to visit in Arkansas—and in my opinion, all of the south.  Hot Springs has a very unique and interesting history.  The buildings are all amazing, especially “Bath House Row.”  It was also a popular vacation spot for gangsters like Al Capone, Bugs Moran, Frank Costello, and Lucky Luciano (due to it’s unique, secluded location).
