Just an ordinary girl born in the wrong era. You have reached my personal interest blog, where anything is fair game. I am a woman of many inspirations. They include, in no particular order: Carol Burnett, Julie Andrews, Barbara Stanwyck, Martha Long, Lucille Ball, Phyllis Logan, Arlene Francis, Florence Nightingale, Clara Barton, Carole Lombard, Joan Crawford, Rosalind Russell, and Maureen O'Hara. An inordinate amount of my posts will involve these incredible women.
I'm in love with the men of Old Hollywood. I like to imagine I was the wife of Henry Fonda in another life. I also love Gary Cooper, Joel McCrea, Tyrone Power, John Wayne, Robert Taylor, and Clark Gable.
A Little about me: I'm a registered nurse born and raised in Arkansas. I am of Irish and English descent and embrace my family's heritage. I love my home state of Arkansas as well as the South in general. I will post a lot about the South, about Ireland, mountains, and the beach, my favorite places on earth.

So today I learned a new word and definition… 

Can I just say, that being a nurse is a constant adventure as well as a frequent vocabulary lesson.  I have seen things you wouldn’t believe, and have heard stories twice as bad.  Today was another of those milestone days in my career.

Today, I learned what a gerbiler is.
